Chipta the Crab and the Wayang

What do you do when people have different interests?

Can Chipta the Crab and his fish friends learn to get along?

For Primary School Children from Foundation to Year 4

Different cultures meet in this learning resource for the Arts Subject Area of the Australian Curriculum v9.0. Playing the recorder in traditional Australian style is so different from Indonesian Wayang puppet theatre, but the story shows there’s room for both.

The resource includes activities for not just Music and Drama, but all areas of the Arts. There’s plenty for students who are more interested in Dance, Visual Arts and Media Arts, so everyone in the class can engage and learn. And if you can’t play the recorder or make puppets, no worries – we’ve got that covered with audio, templates and more.
